Checkup

Celeste's platelets are 2. Her hematocrit is low and her white count is in the basement.

Not feeling very good... vomited on the ride in.

Celeste will receive 2 units of blood and 1 bag of platelets today.

Celeste was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma at the end of June. It was discovered when she went to the doctors due to a high fever and constant nausea (which they originally thought was caused by her gallbladder). After waiting a long two and a half weeks for the results of the biopsy the doctors were able to determine exactly what type of cancer and what stage it was at.

Results from biopsy: Stage 3, Atypical lymphohistiocytic proliferation, consistent with a B-cell lymphoma with plasmacytic differntation, not further classifiable.
