Sweet Goodbyes

Celeste's kidneys and lungs were much worse this morning even though her PEEP was 14. There was nothing more to do. She quietly passed at 11:40.
She will be missed for this short time that we will be apart, but we know that we will be together again, and that she is happy and no longer hurting. We love you so much Celeste!

  8. we are so sorry for you loss Celeste made such an impression on us all, we have been praying for her as a family and as I told my kiddos that she had passed they both started crying. My 5 year old said, "but she read to us" it has been almost a year since they saw her but they still remember how kind she was to them. We will be praying for peace for your family.

  11. It has been a somber day for our family as we heard just this morning about the passing of sweet Celeste. She is and always will be such an example and inspiration to us. Even her name depicts where she surely will be. We were privileged to count her as a friend, even if for such a short time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Robert, Christi and the rest of their family as they valiantly make it through this unimaginable trial. May they be blessed and strengthened, and may they find peace and comfort in the sweet memories of such a wonderful and amazing daughter and sister.

  18. I wasn't all that close to Celeste in school but we had a lot of the same classes together and I remember always thinking how kind and happy she was and how effortless she made it look. I personally believe that when people we love get diagnosed with something horrible, it is for us to learn from, not them. Celeste taught those of us that had the honor of being around her how to make the best of difficult situations and to endure lovingly until the end. I spent sunday fasting for Celeste and the Poll family, I pray for the Comforter to wrap His loving arms around you during this time.

  19. AWE! So sad to hear of dear sweet Celeste's passing! I know we can be greatly comforted by the gospel but it is so sad to have to miss the ones we long for. Our family has been praying for your family often. We think of you and have often said prayers for your comfort in this difficult time of life you are experiencing. I will always remember the resonance of her beautiful music at Christmas. Anything at all we can do for you, we are happy to do. You have our thoughts and prayers.
