Platelet update: Drum Roll Please......

Platelets are 109!!! Celeste is being treated with chemotherapy today! Dr. Harker couldn't feel her spleen at ll today. We don't have bone marrow results yet... should before they leave.

Celeste was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma at the end of June. It was discovered when she went to the doctors due to a high fever and constant nausea (which they originally thought was caused by her gallbladder). After waiting a long two and a half weeks for the results of the biopsy the doctors were able to determine exactly what type of cancer and what stage it was at.

Results from biopsy: Stage 3, Atypical lymphohistiocytic proliferation, consistent with a B-cell lymphoma with plasmacytic differntation, not further classifiable.
