Bone Marrow Biopsy

Platelets were too low today AGAIN. Tomorrow they will do another bone marrow biopsy to see if that's what's driving the platelet problem, and they'll decide next week about the spleenectomy.

In the meantime, I am still doing well and enjoying hobbies :) However, if there is anyone who would like to get me out of the house to do something fun while I'm feeling well, I sure would love it!

Oh, also, my platelet count today was 59. Needs to be 75 for treatment.

Celeste was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma at the end of June. It was discovered when she went to the doctors due to a high fever and constant nausea (which they originally thought was caused by her gallbladder). After waiting a long two and a half weeks for the results of the biopsy the doctors were able to determine exactly what type of cancer and what stage it was at.

Results from biopsy: Stage 3, Atypical lymphohistiocytic proliferation, consistent with a B-cell lymphoma with plasmacytic differntation, not further classifiable.
